BioTAP Virtual Conference

Each year, BioTAP hosts a Virtual Conference that features individuals presenting research and new ideas related to TA teaching professional development. The goal of this conference is to continue sharing ideas and networking around the topic of how to best enhance the teaching practices of graduate and undergraduate instructors.

The 7th Annual BioTAP Virtual Conference is scheduled for Oct. 21-22, 2025

Our keynote speakers for this year’s conference are Dr. Kathy Nomme, Professor in the Department of Botany at the University of British Columbia, and Dr. Carol Pollock, Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of British Columbia. Drs. Nomme and Pollock are also the authors of the book, The Successful TA: A Practical Approach to Effective Teaching.

The conference is free but you must register to access the events.

Go to the 2025 Conference page to submit an abstract for a 12-minute talk (deadline is Sept. 22), to register for the virtual conference, and see the conference program.
